After the Falling

Falling isn’t failing; it is truly an exercise in tenacity. Riding a bike, learning to roller skate are examples of this. In my case, the worst-case scenario was learning to ride a motorcycle. Upon straddling the beast, holding in the clutch, shifting into 1st gear, giving it the gas, popping the clutch… away I went, straight into a chain link fence! The comic view was seen by all in the wash mat who came outside for a belly full of tear jerking laughter that was relieved by the fact that I had no red face to gaze at... Thank God I’m black!
